Terms of use

The rules for using minekop. Short, and in plain English.

minekop.com is run by Minekop. Using the site means you accept what is written here. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site.

1. What you get

A set of free tools for planning a business: an org chart maker and seven financial statements. Everything works without an account. An account adds one thing — your work is saved on our server instead of only in your browser.

2. What it costs

Nothing. There is no paid tier, no trial that runs out, no card, and no feature kept back for people who pay. Advertising pays for the site.

3. Language

minekop and these terms are written in English, and English is the version that counts. If you are reading a machine translation and something looks odd, the English page is the one to go by. Write to us in any language you like — we will do our best.

4. Your account

Give a real email address. It is the only way we can reach you, and the only way you can get back in if you forget your password.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account counts as done by you.
One person, one account. Do not share a login with your whole team as a way of avoiding the (free) sign-up.
You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time from your account page.

5. What you type in stays yours

Your charts, your people, your figures — they belong to you. We do not claim any right to them. We store them so we can hand them back to you, and that is all. You can export everything as CSV or JSON at any moment, so nothing you make here is trapped here.

Other people's names. An org chart is normally a list of real employees. It is your job to have the right to hold their details, to tell them if the law where you are says you must, and to take them out when they should come out. Please keep it to names, job titles and reporting lines — minekop is not the place for salaries, identity numbers or anything sensitive.

6. What you must not do

Break the law with it, or store anything in it that is illegal to store.
Upload other people's personal data that you have no right to hold.
Try to reach another company's data, or poke at the site looking for holes. If you find a hole, tell us — info@minekop.com.
Hammer the site with scripts, scrapers or automated sign-ups.
Click your own ads, or ask anyone else to. That is between us and the ad network, and it will get the site thrown out.
Resell the service, or pass it off as your own.

If you do any of these we may suspend or delete the account, and we will say so when we do.

7. Advertising

There are ad spaces on the sides of most pages. They pay for the site. Ads never appear on anything you print or export. What the advertising does with cookies is covered in the privacy policy.

8. No promise that it will be up

We try to keep minekop running, but we do not promise it. It may be down, it may be slow, it may be interrupted for maintenance without notice, and a feature may change or disappear. It is a free tool, provided as it is.

9. No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

minekop is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it is free of faults, that the numbers it adds up are right for your purpose, or that it fits any particular plan you have. It is not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. A statement you build here is a planning aid, not something to file with anybody. Have a real accountant look at anything that matters.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost data, or any indirect loss that follows from using the site or from not being able to use it. Keep your own copy — that is what the CSV and JSON exports are for. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Losing your work

We take reasonable care, but we do not run a backup service on your behalf. If a chart matters to you, export it. If you delete your account the data is gone immediately and we cannot get it back for you.

11. Ending it

You can stop at any time — delete your account and nothing of yours remains. We may close an account that breaks section 6, or stop the service altogether. If we ever shut minekop down we will give notice on the site first, so you have time to export.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it.

13. Where you are, and which law

minekop is free and open to anyone, anywhere. Nothing here is meant to work only in one country.

Minekop is registered in Turkey, so if it ever came to a dispute between two businesses, the law of Turkey is what these terms are read under.

If you are a consumer, that sentence does not cost you anything. The rights your own country gives you stay yours, you can still go to the courts or the consumer body where you live, and any rule of your local law that cannot be signed away still applies. Where your local law and this page disagree, your local law wins.

Using minekop is your own affair: it is up to you to check that what you do with it is allowed where you are. We do not claim the site meets every rule in every country.
